Wellesley College Course Registration Project for Human Computer Interaction

For this project, my team and I created a radically new registration planner for Wellesley College students whose employment typically makes registration difficult. Focusing on the user experience, my team designed both paper and digital prototypes. We iterated over the design process until our planner was judged by focus groups as easy to use and helpful.

Comparative Language Acquisition Analyzer
Project for Data Structures

Using Hash Tables, Vectors and Linked Lists, my team and I created a program to assess children’s language acquisition. The program first prompts users to input the name of their child and their age. As a note, this program was created only for the English language, but could be adapted to other languages. After saving this information, the program asks the user whether their child can or cannot say a series of words, increasing in difficulty. When the child cannot say 3 consecutive words, the program quits and prints a report of how their child compares with other children their age who speak the same language. This comparative data was gathered from the real world, and we cleaned it in order to effectively store it and use it within our program.
